“The T” is the third iteration of a special campaign launched on this blog in 2017 – originally called “Voice of Recovery” and then renamed “Conversations in Recovery.”
Acknowledging not everyone refers to their journey as “recovery,” I am relaunching this campaign as “The T” in celebration of the truth each person embraces when they share their story. The T means the truth. It was popularized by RuPaul who said, “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love anyone else?”
Becoming the best versions of ourselves – whether it’s quitting drinking or making other changes – requires us to access the truth on multiple levels. From connecting with and standing in our own truth to identifying what’s true about all the things we’ve become conditioned to think and believe over the course of our lives.
Submitted stories have been posted HERE in the order in which they were received. While a primary goal of publishing these stories is to smash the stigma associated with addiction, names can be withheld if desired.
With the hope of continuing to regularly share stories of the growing numbers of incredible truth seekers out there, both women and men, as of September 20, 2022, the “Conversations in Recovery” feature has been renamed “The T” and the online interview form has been revised and reactivated.
To share your story, please complete and submit this form. If you have any questions, please contact me at via email at info (at) quitwining (dot) com or via the contact form HERE.
