“Your Messy Brilliance” Is the Paradigm Shift You’ve Been Waiting For

Are you ready for a paradigm shift? I know I am.

And, I know it’s for people like me that Kelly McNelis has written her new book, Your Messy Brilliance: 7 Tools for the Perfectly Imperfect Woman.

Kelly McNelis is my hero. She is a truthteller like no other. In Your Messy Brilliance, she gives us permission to be imperfect. Because she knows our mess, no matter what it is, makes us perfect anyway. We are all exactly who we’re supposed to be. Kelly teaches us how to embrace our mess and discover the power of living authentically.

Though I became a Truthteller on Kelly’s Women for One website 18 months ago and I’ve been telling my story here and elsewhere for even longer, I am still learning about my truth. One thing I know for sure is the old adage is right: The truth shall set you free. I’ve witnessed it firsthand.

While I acknowledge and own my truth, the step I have yet to take is to embrace the complete and total messiness of that truth and learn all the ways in which it can empower me. I haven’t found my brilliance. And, that’s why I am so excited about Kelly’s book.

The first chapter alone has already got me thirsty to read more. You can download a free copy HERE. Kelly talks about how our tendency to want to escape our lives and find a magic wand to wave and create perfection (or the perception of perfection) only leads us away from happiness. Why? Because we haven’t embraced the truth. Why? Because the truth is messy. And, we’re conditioned to deflect, reject, ignore, hide, and run from messy.

“The journey you will take through your own messy brilliance is the journey of a lifetime.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to stop apologizing for myself. For my mess. I’m ready to find the complete authentic me. Because sometimes a lot of times I hide when things are less than lovely and far from perfect.
